Baby Doll Lingerie A Must For All Women

In today's world, baby doll lingerie has developed the reputation of being timeless and classic. Babydolls are regularly updated and remade for dedicated fans. However, many fans are unaware of the short but interesting history of the babydoll. Provided here is a brief guide to the history of baby doll lingerie.

Women's nightwear has evolved and changed over time. By the 1930s, short and sensual were the order of the day. Women often wore short negligees with matching "bed jackets," which were short, sensual and sometimes trimmed with feathers or lace. Out of these bed jackets came the first baby doll lingerie pieces.

Although the garment had been around for decades, the name "baby doll lingerie" was first introduced when Carroll Baker appeared in one in the 1956 film "Baby Doll." Both the film and the lingerie were a smash success. Babydolls of the 1950s were relatively simple flared negligees with a hemline that reached approximately six inches above the wearer's knee. Baby doll lingerie was sometimes trimmed in feathers or lace, similar to the older bed jackets.

It was around that time that a daywear dress in babydoll style was introduced. The dresses maintained the short, sensual feel of the baby doll lingerie, but were more solid and appropriate for public view. Meanwhile, the nightwear version of the babydoll became increasingly more sensual. Gradually creeping shorter, and featuring ever more daring fabrics, baby doll lingerie made the switch from simple nightwear to true sexy lingerie.

Today, vintage baby doll lingerie can be highly valuable. Collectors often search for babydolls that date to the 1950s or 1960s. However, the item has also continued to evolve. Today a sheer babydoll or lace babydoll is easy to find. Hemlines now run the gamut from the traditional six inches above the knee to barely skimming the buttocks. Necklines range from a more traditional scoop neck to a deeply plunging, cleavage-enhancing V-neck. Babydolls are even available that more closely resemble the older bed jackets, featuring one or two front closures.

For those who prefer a bit of modesty, matching panties in a similar material are readily available, often sold as part of a set. More demure styles are also an option for those who prefer who more coverage. These styles are just as sexy as their more extreme cousins, often enhanced with fake fur, lace or other detailing.

Whether you are searching for vintage-style or more modern baby doll lingerie, you will find sizing a breeze. Unlike many lingerie items, babydolls are designed to fit a bit loosely. Some are offered in one size fits all designs, while others are sized according to dress size. This ease of finding a piece that fits may be partially responsible for the babydoll's continued success.

Whatever the reason, baby doll lingerie appears to be here to stay. An instant classic in its heyday, the babydoll has remained a luxurious and sensual option for women of all shapes and sizes.

Personal Development: A Pyrrhic Victory

In 279 B.C., in the hills of southeastern Italy near Asculum, a Roman army numbering into the tens of thousands battled for two days against a like-sized Greek army and their 20 war elephants. The Greeks were under the command of King Pyrrhus. According to the great Carthaginian general Hannibal, Pyrrhus was the greatest general the world had seen since Alexander the Great.

On the first day the two sides fought an indecisive battle and accomplished little. The next day the Romans were forced back, but Pyrrhus was unable to capture their camp. Finally, at the end of the day, seeing the futility of continuing, the armies separated.

According to the first-century historian Plutarch, the Romans lost 6,000 men and the Greeks more than 3,500. It was a costly victory for Pyrrhus. Plutarch relates that at dawn the next morning, in response to congratulations for his victory over the Romans, Pyrrhus confessed, "If we are victorious in one more battle with the Romans, we shall be utterly ruined." The battle had been won at too high a cost. Although they never defeated Pyrrhus on the field, the Romans were able to win a war of attrition. Henceforth, no soldier would cheer a Pyrrhic victory.

As Pyrrhus admitted, some victories can effectively undo a person. From time to time, we, too, have battles to fight that may not be worth the price of winning. For example, coming out on top in an argument can actually destroy our influence and cost us a relationship. If we are not careful, we can let the situation and our ego get the best of us. But it requires a lot of self-discipline to prevent our own Pyrrhic victories. Lady Dorothy Nevill once remarked, "The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing in the right place, but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment."

If we place winning an argument--the urge to be right--as the most important thing, we have lost perspective. We win the battle but lose the war.

In Pearls of Wisdom, psychologist Joyce Brothers wrote, "There is a rule in sailing where the more maneuverable ship should give way to the less maneuverable craft. I think this is sometimes a good rule to follow in human relationships as well." Relationships are more important than the situations we find ourselves in. If we are "right" enough to win, we should be smart enough to be the more maneuverable ship. Being immovable or stubborn, just because we are right, doesn't move us closer to our goal. As the more maneuverable party, we should step back, bend, or give way and let the other person pass. Later we might try a different tack if it is really important to make the point. Hitting a difficult person head on is rarely the appropriate action.

When we come up against conflict, we must start by looking honestly at our motivations and asking ourselves whether winning is really that important. Am I pursuing this conflict just for the sake of winning? How will winning affect my ability to work with this person?

We need to keep the big picture in mind and realize that we don't need to fight every battle. We should choose battles that, in the final analysis, will strengthen our personal development.

Motivation Techniques - Using Power Motivation To Stimulate Anyone To Action

In this article, I'll reveal some amazing motivation techniques and tips to bring out the fire in anyone. With the right words and encouragement, you can make anyone passionate about a certain task or subject.

Here's a story to clearly illustrate the power of these motivation techniques. Jason is the new coach of a basketball team. His team has won many games since he has arrived to replace the previous coach.

The players are more at ease with him and more open to discuss any concern with him. Moreover, they have become more confident and motivated to play now that he's leading the team.

Before he coached the team, they were on a losing streak. Now the team is on a hot streak and they may even have a chance to win the championship.

What is Jason's secret?

Whenever one player does something nice, Jason gives him a good name to live up to.

When a player makes good blocks or does a great job in rebounding, Jason will tell him, "Wow! Your rebounding and defense are very much like Tim Duncan. Keep it up."

When a player shoots consistently, Jason will tell him, "Super! Your sweet moves rival those of Steve Nash. Wow!"

When his team wins, he'll encourage them, "We will win one game at a time. We'll win the championship, just like the San Antonio Spurs did."

Jason's motivation techniques are very effective. He knows how to praise his players and how to motivate them to do better. He assigns qualities and aspects that the players are inspired to adopt, even if the players don't possess those characteristics yet.

The players, on the other hand, would try their best to establish the reputation that their coach has assigned to them. They don't want to humiliate themselves by performing below the reputation that Jason has delegated to them.

These motivation techniques are powerful due to the persuasion law of expectation. Jason expects something exceptional from his players, and his players are inspired to fulfill or even exceed their coach's expectations of them.

Whenever he needs something to be done by a player, Jason tells him, "James, you always shoot like Michael Jordan. In this play, you're going to take the game-winning shot. Let's win this!"

James feels like the MVP. He's all fired up and his coach expects him to play like Michael Jordan. James simply can't let his team down.

Sometimes Coach Jason will apply a slightly different approach.

When he expects David to defend Brian (the other team's star player), Jason will tell him, "David, you've always been a great defensive specialist. Nobody has ever stopped Brian from scoring above 20 points in any game before. Would you be able to stop him this time?"

Coach Jason issued a challenge to David. David couldn't back out now. He has to prove that he can defend Brian. He has to show everyone that he is one of the greatest defensive players ever.

This is another great motivation technique. When you give out a challenge to someone, that person will be much more motivated to prove to you that he can accomplish any task you assign to him. Moreover, he will want to enhance his reputation by trying to surpass that challenge you brought out to him.

These motivation techniques can be used in any other situations, not just in the basketball court. Remember to expect good results, assign positive qualities (even if they don't possess those traits yet), and issue friendly challenges to get faster compliance.

If you can easily and quickly motivate anyone to willingly do anything you say, how will you use these motivation techniques and conversational hypnosis methods to transform your life? Taking Responsibility for Your Own Success

Do you feel like you are on a ride and someone else in controlling the direction your life is going in? In reality, you are responsible for everything around you.

An illustration: You woke up this morning and decided on several things. You decided: what you were going to wear, whether to have breakfast or not have breakfast and if you chose to eat you decided what to eat. Then, whether you still like your job or not you once chose to go to work and made a decision about how you were going to get there.

At work, you decided whether to put a great deal of effort forward or you decided to just go through the motions and get the job done. You decided whether you were going to have a good day or bad day. Sure, some things may have happened that were out of your direct control but you were the pilot today, even if you did make the choice to go on autopilot. After work you choose your route home and made decisions about what to do after your work day was over. You chose whom to spend it with, you chose what to eat and whether or not to exercise.

It’s evident by all the choices you make that you do hold the key to what kind of life you have and will have. You have the option to have a good day or a bad day. You have the option to continue with life as it is or the option for self-improvement. You can choose whether to be happy and fulfilled or on autopilot and indifferent about life.

Life choices are yours to make. You can choose to change your future and you might want to start changing it right now because in fifteen seconds, it is going to be the future! You can choose to get happy or continue on as you are. What should you do first?

1) Write down what you want. Start a journal and chronicle your successes, your dreams, your let downs and your happy moments.

2) If you are married or in a relationship, tell your significant other about your dreams.

3) Decide to change your attitude and put passion into everything you do. If there’s something in your life you aren’t passionate about, make it a plan to remove that factor from your life.

4) Continuously work to improve your life and make yourself happy. At the end of each day spend time with yourself to contemplate how you feel, what you want and decide what you can do to get the success you want in life.

Self coaching yourself towards success can make a big difference in your life. You can also enlist the help of a professional life coach who can help you discover what you want, what has been stopping you from getting what you want and who can cheer you on throughout a success marathon that you have the power to finish!

Fear Getting in the Way? Try a Passion Prescription

Does fear ever immobilize you, or keep you from moving forward?

Passion is a perfect prescription - or antidote - for fear. You will see why as you read on about an intuitive vision consultation I did for a business owner the other day. She came to me because of a chronic problem - she was often frozen by fear that seriously affected her productivity.

She said that sometimes one challenging telephone call she needs to make could "destroy three days" of her life. She also said that she has so many things to do during the week that she feels overwhelmed and it is hard for her to focus her attention on any one thing.

According to her, she developed this pattern as a child in response to her father's temper. Part of her defense was to try to become invisible. It was interesting that in the vision I had, I didn't see her in the picture. She had succeeded in becoming invisible - she had become invisible to herself.

What Does Passion Have to Do with All of This?

As you read on simply substitute YOUR passion for "writing" and you will see. . .

Early in the reading, this client said, "I'm a novelist. That's my passion." On weekends, the freezing fear shows up when she is torn between working on her novel, or on something else that needs to get done.

When you know your passion, it is most important that you spend time with that passion . . . if you are a novelist you have to write.

When you write, you come alive - the life force flows through you. When you write, you become present and real, or visible, to yourself.

Whatever else needs to be done is fine to do, as long as the writing is done first. When other things pull you away from what's most important - away from your passion - you are pulled away from YOU.

It's very frightening to be pulled away from yourself. When you're not present or visible to YOU, you're not present for the rest of your life, and even the simplest things can feel overwhelming.

Fear is perpetuated every time you choose something that's least important over what's most important. Passion is your touchstone to what's most important.

The antidote to fear is to give yourself over to your passion in a significant way. It is a requirement that you write to dissolve your fear.

The very act of writing is saying yes to you. Every time you make the choice to give yourself over to your authentic passion, you become more visible to yourself.

Every time you say yes to what's most important to you, your self-confidence increases. You grow in trusting yourself to face whatever is "out there" in the world because you have shored up what's "in here."

The more you live your passion, the more the life force flows through you and the less room there is for fear. What you're doing is more important - life itself becomes more important.

The Life Force is the generator of your spiritual DNA, which is encoded with spiritual gifts such as power, confidence and faith. When any of these spiritual gifts is present, there is either no room for fear or fear becomes irrelevant.

As you can see, it is most important for you to write! You have to write, above and beyond anything else.

Acting on your passion is the natural remedy, the antidote to fear! But more than that, living your passion makes you feel alive. And isn't that what life is all about, really?!

Step Into Your Greatness and Live Your Passion!

P.S. I want to hear from you when your book rolls off the presses.

Want To Enhance Your Life? Set Goals

Goal setting is a powerful tool for helping you work toward your ideal future. Goals give you direction and purpose, and they help you stay focused on what you truly want. However, goal setting can be quite a challenge if you don’t know exactly what you want out of life. Additionally, many people don’t understand how to properly set and achieve goals, so their goals go unfulfilled. If you set your goals appropriately, you will be motivated to build habits that lead toward self-improvement and realizing your biggest goals in life.

Set personal and self-improvement goals

Your first challenge when setting goals is to find out what you truly want in life. What are the desires of your heart? Take time to ask yourself what you really want, and write down any ideas that come to you. Even if it seems like a far-fetched or crazy idea, write it down. Write down anything and everything you want to achieve in your life. Give a voice to all the desires inside your heart. You may wish to seek the help of a mentor or life coach, who can help you see where your desires and dreams lie.

Once you’ve written some ideas down, you may begin to see some patterns. Seeing your dreams on paper will help you break your goals up into sections. You may have a section for health, one for career, material wants, and spiritual or religious goals. The sections you choose may vary, but you’ll probably find that your goals will fit into four or five different categories.

For each section you choose, break it down and ask yourself where you’d like to be in that area in the next few months. Then ask yourself where you’d like to be in a year, then two years from now, and then five years. Write each of these goals down. Writing your goals down should help build your motivation and excitement. You are on the way to living the life you dreamed of!

Build momentum as you achieve goals

Once you have written down your main goals and can visualize where you will be in five years, you are ready to start achieving. To break it down into attainable steps, choose your top 4 priority goals in each category. Write down one task that will get you one step closer to each of those goals. Make this a task small enough to achieve in a day. Every night before you go to bed, review your goals and set new tasks to achieve the next day.

If you persist in attaining your daily tasks, you will slowly move toward your short-term and long-term goal. When you achieve a goal, make sure to reward yourself, and then replace the achieved goal with a new one from your big list of goals. You will repeat this cycle every time you achieve a goal. Periodically review your big list, making sure it contains the goals you truly want to achieve. If you persist in this, you will find that over time your wildest dreams are starting to come true!

Do You Want The Success You Claim You Want?

I meet people on a regular basis who say they want to improve their life, make more money, leave a job they hate, etc. But the truth of the matter is 99% of these folks are only saying they want success and improvement.

As somebody who has a real interest in helping others " in fact as a guy who does this for a living " I find it extremely frustrating that most of the population is incapable of getting off their rears and doing something toward the success they claim to want. Honestly it seems people will offer just about any excuse in the book to avoid taking action.

I don’t have the money.

I’m too busy right now.

Next month I’m really going to get busy.

I’m not sure if this is exactly the right opportunity for me.

Fill in your own favorite excuse here.

Here’s what all of these self-defeating statements really mean: “I prefer to remain a victim and just keep complaining about the things I’m too lazy to change.”

That’s harsh, but it’s also the truth.

The fact is life is not that complicated in terms of succeeding and failing. Granted success means different things for different people, but to keep it simple let’s use more money, more time freedom, and less stress as our measures for success in this article.

It all comes down to either doing what needs to be done in order to achieve our desired success, or doing nothing and staying exactly where we are.

Read the above statement once more before continuing. No matter how we might try to dress things up, rephrase the issue, or complicate things it really is this simple.

If your mind is racing to find examples to prove me wrong, or if you’re getting a bit irritated with my candor, chances are great that you are making excuses within your own life to avoid taking action toward your own success. If that’s true, why are you doing this to yourself?

Why on earth would anybody want to deliberately keep himself or herself from success? There are actually lots of reasons, most of them centered in one form of fear or another.

But reasons are not the point of this article. When we get right down to the heart of the matter, it’s not always relevant why we avoid taking the right action for our success.

It’s often enough to admit that we are doing it, and to make a firm commitment to change directions immediately. I urge you to challenge yourself daily with the question:

“What am I doing today to move myself toward the success I say I want?”

Get What You Want in 7 Steps

If you've been aiming for something and you've not achieved it yet, you need to do something different

Sometimes it seems like getting where you want to be is just like trying to find your way out of a very large maze.

You know where you are now, and where you want to get to but the area between is shrouded in mystery and perhaps even fear.

Of course, you can get someone to guide you in the right direction but you'll have more chance of getting what you want if you create your own personal map.

Here are the seven steps you need to follow in order to do that:

1: Specify the Objective

Each goal you set should include information such as what specifically you want to achieve, by when, with whom and why you want it.

2: Break It Down

Every large goal is made up of smaller parts. These may be different elements of the bigger goal or measured increments towards it.

3: Identify Clear Action Steps

You need to think about the action steps that will move you toward the finish line.

Daily actions are typically smaller in scale but are the things that become your regular habits.

Weekly actions may be larger and take longer to complete - and may involve an element of risk. This may include things like launching a new service or starting a new marketing activity. These bolder actions usually bring about bigger results.

Monthly actions keep you on track through evaluating your progress and readjusting your plans if necessary.

4: Set a General Time-line for Completion

While setting a deadline can be incredibly motivating and keep you focused, it can also cause immense frustration if things don't move along at the pace you expect. So you need to set a deadline that is achievable.

5: Develop a 'Plan B'

As much as we'd like things to go according to plan, it doesn't always turn out like that. So having a 'Plan B' for every step of your journey can save a lot of time, not to mention frustration! Imagine the difference between feeling immobilized because your path is blocked, or calmly switching gears and moving to Plan B. It can make or break fulfillment of your goals.

6: Create the Right Mindset for Success

By now you should have a clear, detailed plan for achieving your goal. How could you fail with a plan like this? You couldn't . . . unless your own thoughts begin to work against you. There are three key things to keep in mind if you want to stay focused and motivated.

Commit to your goal: You must be willing to keep working toward what you want no matter how difficult it may seem at times.

Take action: The most detailed and effective plan is worthless if you never put it into action.

Let go: Don't get mired in frustration about things you can't control. Keep your attention squarely on what you can control, which is your own actions.

7: Evaluate Your Progress

Evaluation can help keep you honest about your efforts, reveal holes in your plans and inspire you to keep going when you notice even moderate results happening.

When you follow these steps, it becomes much easier to achieve your goals and objectives, no matter how ambitious they are.

You'll know how to conquer your inner demons (like fear and confusion), face challenges head-on, and move quickly and precisely to your chosen outcome.

You'll realize that your quality of life is completely within your control, and you need only follow a specific route to reach any destination you desire.

Then simply repeat the process to get to your next destination, and the next, and the next!

Do You Believe in Magic?

Do you believe in magic?

For years I have been struggling with (what I believe now to be) ADD. Never realizing it, I just went through life not mastering anything or really having any confidence in myself or even believing that I can be of any use to anyone. I have pretty much known that I am smart enough, creative enough, and just had what it takes to be successful in life. The drive, the motivation and the ability to STAY FOCUSED have never been there. I have always been one of those people who are good at what ever they try. I just CAN NOT stay in one place or stay focused on anything, but unfortunately I never really heard anything about ADD until I was about 16 yrs old. Even then I did not put two and two together for myself. It was just something that other people had. By the time I became an adult and parent, I started to think there must be something more to this. This is really not how I wanted to be. I can’t even stay with one job for very long! I can’t remember my own name half the time! Ok. That was an exaggeration, but you get the point... Right? So… I started to hear some of these similarities from time to time. For instance… Can’t focus, can’t hold down a job, and can’t remember. OK. Where was I? LOL! Just plain can’t finish what you start! I am determined! I WILL FINISH THE ARTICLE!!! Anyway! So, I would think about it every once in a while and wonder what are my options? Maybe, I should go to the doctor to what they can do to help, but just like a person with ADD, couldn’t get myself to do it! It always seemed that I had bigger problems to deal with ( very rocky marriage). So even that got in the way of my success. I even heard about people getting disability for having ADD. That’s just not the way I wanted it to go. I love style, class, sophistication, the arts and I wanted to travel. There was so much that I wanted to do in my life, but a disability check sure as heck wasn’t going to pay for it! Like I said, do you believe in magic? Wanna know what I did? I made a major life change! First I got rid of the husband who was not supportive and kept dragging me down. I met a man who is awesome and VERY supportive. I realized. HEY! I can work for myself! I can make my own hours; I can determine the limits of my income (which are unlimited). I can do those things that I have always wanted and (most importantly) I can spend time with my family! It’s also a lot of fun, so there is no problem staying focused! Feel free to contact me! I would love to talk to anyone who would like to know about what I am doing! 5 tips to keep on being motivated in hard times

--If you believe in what you are doing, then let nothing hold you up in your work. Much of the best work of the world has been done against seeming impossibilities. The thing is to get the work done (DALE CARNEGIE)--

The following article covers a topic that has recently moved to center stage--at least it seems that way. If you've been thinking you need to know more about it, here's your opportunity.

Most of this information comes straight from the daily motivation pros. Careful reading to the end virtually guarantees that you'll know what they know.

It is always true that every person in this world must have experienced or been trapped in trouble and in hard times, regardless who you are; poor or wealthy, looking-good or not, young or old, male or female. Nobody is free from the trouble. All of the people truly want that happiness always comes to them.

However, good times and hard times always come in rotation. Sometimes you will have good times and sometimes you will have hard times. People have a tendency to feel good and great while the good times are coming to them, and otherwise they tend to feel bad, down, depressed and disappointed while they are in hard times and face the trouble.

That is not really the barrier if you can simply overcome your trouble so it will not affect all aspects of your life and break you down. There are some persons who are able to survive and get up in hard times and finally succeed in overcoming the trouble. These all depend on how you react, interpret and are going to do with them.

There are some tips that can help you to keep on being motivated although you are in hard times, so they can get you up or at least make you better ahead.

1. Realizing that the troubles do not make you down, rather they will make you better and stronger than you are today.

When you are facing the troubles, that means that you are being prepared to be a better and stronger person to face the bigger troubles and challenges in the future. The god will not give you the troubles that are bigger than your ability to solve them. Take them as your stepping stones to be more successful and better person. Even there is a quote that says if you want more success, you must multiply your failure and troubles.

2. Seeing something from different point of view.

You need to know that behind the troubles or hard times, there must be positive things we can take, so you can learn from them to solve them. Instead of feeling bad and down due to your troubles, it is better if you see them from different angle or point of view. It's like you are the producer of yourself that can change the viewing angle of the camera as your will.

3. Motivating yourself

One of the differences between the one that succeeds in getting up from hard times and the one that keeps on being down is that the one that gets up from hard times always self-motivate no matter how hard the moment they have. Motivation is your fuel to survive from your hard times. If you simply have no motivations, it will be easy for you to give up soon when the troubles and difficulties attack you. For more about self-motivating, please see my article "the power of motivating yourself".

4. Humor and laughter

Humor and laughter is an effective way to cure your sadness. This is free resource you can get anywhere and anytime with no cost. Even the laughter can give you better health and young-looking. Humor and laughter can make you laugh and smile that can destroy your bad mood. Turn on your TV and watch the humor programs or shows.

5. Refreshing yourself

Another way to eliminate your negative feeling is by refreshing. Refreshing is good to refresh your body and mind so you can think more clearly and wisely in solving your problems. Stressed and depressed mind can't help you more in overcoming them. You can visit your favorite place like beach with the relaxing sound of birds and wave, fresh-aired mountain, or you can do your hobbies like fishing in the sea, swimming or others. That will make you more relaxed. Refreshing will make you like the full power battery that has been re-charged so you are ready to face your life.

The conclusion is motivation can make you not to give up too soon when you are facing troubles. If you are chasing your goals and dreams, you will be faster and easier in achieving them with your motivation.

Finally this article's coverage of the information is as complete as it can be today. But you should always leave open the possibility that future research could uncover new facts.

Poems for Deceased Friends - How to Get Relief from Grief

Can poems for deceased friends help you grieve better? After all, when a loved one passes away, should you really try to remember them? The answer is yes - your relatives and friends are a part of who you are. You need prayers and compassion of others. You thirst to see your precious friend or family member who has departed living on earth. You wish to understand what she may be experiencing or how he might still be present to you. Missing his or her physical presence is hard to take.

When a spouse, child or friend dies, it seems like your world has come to an end, too. When death happens to those special people, you feel empty and numb. You need a way to deal with the loss as you grieve and mourn. After reflecting upon the death of several of my loved ones and what may have happened to them, I learned a new understanding that provides peace and joy.

When you have a faith-filled hope, grief is much easier to bear when you are mourning. For example. When you believe that a deceased loved one is still connected to God and you, your relationship is changed but not ended. Use a prayer or funeral poem to help you overcome shock of immediate loss. As time goes on, memorial poems help you remember a deceased family member or friend a long time later after they have died.

Many aspects of modern society have programmed people to think that death is the end of everything. Many people are afraid - that everything is unraveling when their loved one dies.

The Christian hope is in Jesus Christ, who rose after death and gives eternal life to those who believe in Him. Jesus promised that he would go ahead to prepare a new home for those who follow Him. Jesus' promise is hundreds of years old.

Many people are very disturbed when friends and family members die. It is very different than waiting for them to return from a vacation or trip to the grocery store. Routinely, people pose the question, "When will my loved one come home?" The ordeal occurs when they start thinking and believing that their friend or family member one is gone for good and will never, ever return.

The problem is in our imagination and hope. We don't see that our precious ones may be at home right now -- at home in God's house, that is. We become desperate to see them immediately and want to be reunited with them again soon. So the value of using a prayer and a poem for the deceased is priceless when it helps us to reconnect with our loved ones in love, faith and hope.

What is a new belief that can help us have peace of mind? Think of it this way. Death is like walking through a door of a brand new home. When you push that door open, you see a more beautiful, bigger and happier place to live. It is brand new. Clean. Fresh. More room. More possibilities to do things with your loved ones. A better place to live. So, when you think and dream and imagine deceased loved ones living forever with God and you. What is one of the best places to hang out and live in a new home? In the living room, right? So, think about your departed loved ones moving into the living room of God's house after they die. They are still living, just in a brighter and wider place.

Your love and friendship with your departed loved ones does not stop overnight when their body stops working. While they were living on this earth, it took time to grow in love, faith and hope. That life does not end when they die. As difficult as it may seem right now, life is actually getting better for them and you. Your loved one is at home with God. You hope to go through the door to meet them some day.

Like a wall hanging that is completed, the tapestry of their human life has been finished. It now hangs in the living room of God's house. This is a wonderful life that you can celebrated today, tomorrow and forever. All you need to do is use a prayer and poems for deceased friends to remember your connection every day of your life.

To find one inspirational poem for the deceased that can help you remember your deceased loved one at home with God in the tapestry of life,

Motivation: dictating the terms for yourself

The importance of the word named “motivation” conveys lot more than it seems to have. Anything and everything that have to be done won’t be materialized unless and until it is supplemented by the crucial entity named “motivation”. Motivation is not something that could be manufactured, instead it has to come from within, rather, has to be cultivated.

It won’t ever be an animated reality if I mention that it is because of this motivation that world progresses even a fraction of a second. So, in a micro sense, each human needs to be motivated for every deed of his to be done. If you understand that the greatest or the ever discussed topic in psychological arena is motivation related aspects, its importance is conveyed and taken for granted.

Though we state that motivation is more or less a mental concern, it should not be stated that the physical well being and fitness have hardly any role to play. Moreover it could be stated that, motivation related problems are cancerously growing among the youth. This is so severe a scenario that they have to have a serious look at the mental status, physical well being and attitude. People, who are addicted to habits like smoking, alcohol consumption etc, should treat motivation as a pivotal entity in recovering themselves from those habits. People who find it difficult to change their habits or people who continuously fails in motivating themselves to move forward to achieve their desired goal would find hypnosis as an effective solution. Hypnosis could very well be stated as a process of changing the well settled habitual mental status of people which help them in uprooting the so called status, to lead a better living. In whatever one does, motivation holds the key. The situations could be as diverse as it can be like meeting the deadline when given a job, stopping a bad habit like smoking or consumption of alcohol, reducing the weight drastically etc.. It should be reiterated that motivation finds its root in beliefs. If you have a strong faith in yourself, or if you have strong belief that some particular thing could be done within the stipulated time, you starts working hard on it. You are motivated to toil hard since you have the faith or belief that, it could be done. But at any point of time, if your belief or faith got hurt by any means, you are letting yourself down and where is your motivating factor? You find it difficult to dictate the terms for yourself. Here, hypnosis is so relevant. Statistical analysis shows that over 90% of people can be hypnotized. To motivate yourself, hypnosis can very well help you for sure. In this technologically advanced world, you only need to be choosy in selecting the media you need to get hypnotized. Compact disks, MP3 s etc are available in the market which essentially deals with hypnosis related to motivation issues. It is so amazing to study that, which attribute of human mind caused him to be under motivated; the same attribute helps him to prepare himself for hypnosis, and come out successfully. That attribute, being the delicacy of human mind forms the leanest of all the bridges between an under motivated and a motivated mind set.

Traditional Healing from Nontraditional Methods

Since the very beginning of the human race there have been healers. Throughout the centuries every culture around the world has formulated its own form of medicine and practices to cure the ills of its people. Traditional Chinese Medicine for example, focuses not on specific physical body parts, but instead on the purpose and function of those parts. Many people hold to the belief that these time-honored and indigenous practices have no place in a modern society with its technological advancements and scientific breakthroughs. The simple fact remains though, that a large percentage of people around the world have no access to modern medicine. They rely solely on ancient healing techniques to keep themselves and their families healthy. Is it possible that our modern society has become so advanced that we have lost touch with some of the most basic and simple healing practices in favor of over-medicating our bodies into submission?

Going Back to our Roots

Like the Chinese, the Native Americans have long held to the belief that the spirit is an absolutely essential part of the whole of the human being and is therefore a necessary ingredient in its overall health and well being. Spirituality has been a key part of the healing process throughout most of history; it is only in these "modern" times that society has pushed it aside as secondary and unnecessary. In fact, Native American spiritual practices were banned in the United States and until the American Indian Religious Freedom Act was passed in 1978, people were threatened with incarceration if they were to even be caught in attendance at a healing ceremony. The example of the Native Americans is not the only such instance of a society turning its back on its very roots. The Chinese acted in a similar fashion, banning the use of Classical Chinese Medicine for well over thirty years until the 1960s.

Old v/s New

While modern science has indeed made great strides in many ways toward repairing and healing the human body and has even embraced a great many schools of thought when it comes to issues of the human mind, it has yet to fully accept that there is indeed a real connection between the two. Mind and body are treated as separate entities instead of parts of the whole. The common bond shared among centuries old wisdom around the globe has been put aside and scientific fact has been put in its place.

Today, the practice of such things as meditation, yoga, traditional native healing, Sufi Healing and Chinese medicine have found sanctuary under the broad-spectrum umbrella of Holistic Medicine. The healing methods of the Buddhists, Shamans and others are finding their way back into a society who hungers for answers they are not receiving from modern scientific research. Still, finding reputable and well trained practitioners can be a challenge in today's civilized cultures.

Holistic Solutions through DVDs

The Center for Healing Arts is an organization that was created to help individuals who are looking for something that modern medicine does not give them - specifically an opportunity to learn and work toward mending the mind, body and spirit and realizing that they are all integral parts of what make us a whole and healthy being. Through a subscription based educational program, the Center offers DVDs on a variety of holistic healing practices ranging from Yogic Healing and Sufi Healing to Shamanism and Kabbalistic healing. The programs are taught and facilitated by renowned experts in their fields and provided to subscribers every other month for them to view and practice in the privacy of their own homes. Through their online community, subscribers can find like minded seekers and practitioners from around the world to share information and support with.

Do You Have An Inspirational Swipe File?

Every successful marketer has a 'marketing swipe file'. It's a necessity in these day when you are constantly searching for new ideas. Basically, it's a collection of snippets you pick up from your meanderings on the internet.

But it's useful snippets. Headlines, stories, ads, anything that may come in handy when you are looking for ideas for a new article, post, ad, of your own. Reading through a swipe file is often all that is needed to be able to come up with great copy.

And no, we are not talking plagiarism here. Literal 'swiping' will get you into a whole heap of trouble! But swipe files are great for brain storming and no successful marketer is without one.

But where do you go for your 'root inspiration'? I'm not talking about inspiration for an article. But inspiration for the reason to write the article in the first place.

The world of Network Marketing is pretty tough to put it mildly. And it's easy to get disheartened when we don't see instant results as promised by all the 'hype'. It's no wonder over 95% of folks who start out with such high hopes fail to see it through to the 'success stage'.

You cannot lose focus in this business. No matter what is going on outside of your business, if you are not permanently glued to achieving your goals you will fail.

There is a reason I have 'The Daily Motivator' by Ralph Marston on my blog. It serves to inspire me every single day. It allows me to keep focused on what is truly important in my life. And no, my Internet business is not my priority in life. But it is the tool I use to achieve my life's priorities!

Staying focused on your priorities keeps you focused on your business. But staying focused is hard. There is no doubt about it. Nobody said anything worth having came easy.

So here's my tip.

Right alongside your 'marketing swipe file' you set up your 'inspirational swipe file'. Refer to this file anytime you feel your focus slipping. Anytime you need reminding of the reason you are going through this struggle. Anytime you are considering giving it all up as a waste of time.

Your inspirational swipe file could contain a multitude of items or it could be just a single quote. It could be pictures of your family, the new car you're saving towards, awe inspiring photographs...whatever it is, put it where you can see it.

I have 'The Daily Motivator' (from Ralph Marston) right on my desktop. This is a great little widget that is updated every day so I have something new to focus and inspire me every time I switch on my computer. It sets me up for the day, reminds me why I do what I do, motivates me on the days when I need it, and brings a smile to my face each time.

If you haven't yet set up your own 'inspirational swipe file' go do it now. See the difference it can make to your achievements.

Why many aren't wealthy & Why you should be wealthy

It seems like a foolish title right? I mean if I ask anybody in the world that question (Why should you be wealthy?) I am sure they could come up with five reasons right on the spot, kids included. So if that is true then how come the majority of human beings decide to be slaves to large corporations? Why do people decide to spend the majority of there lives dedicated to serving there bosses as if they were there masters for a miserable salary? I could understand in countries that are undeveloped third-world countries that are lacking a decent structure and order but i do not understand it otherwise. I do not understand why people that live in countries like the UK, USA, Canada, etc. decide to live there lives paycheck to paycheck or often in complete poverty.

I am not here judge or harrass anybody. I am only here to motivate and to broaden your thought processes. Understand that even if you don't have a college education you can still become wealthy all you need is the will power.

What really drives me crazy about the human race is that 1% of the world population owns 95% of the money in the world!

The reason only 1% of the world owns 95% of the money in the world is because not many individuals believe in taking risks and exiting there comfort zones. Many people do not believe that the unprobable is possible because they are scared of failure. Everyday I observe people and there actions, most of the time they aren't happy with there situation in life and yet a small percentage do anything to change there life from negative to postive. My friends complain to me and tell me,"Felipe I hate my job!" but they won't take another opportunity when it knocks on there door because they are scared of failing. they use alot of What ifs. What if it doesn't work out? What if I don't like it there either? What if they don't like me?

With that mentality you will never succeed. You have to love yourself and value yourself in any situation your in. You have to see yourself as an asset to the company you're with and that is when you will start to become independant and start realizing that you are most likely being overworked and underpaid. So you wake up one day and you say "I AM MORE VALUEABLE THAN $----- A YEAR! I AM WORTH MILLIONS MORE!

Thats the first step after that it's about believing in yourself and having alot of will power and perseverence because whatever endeavor you embark in to achieve financial freedom understand that you're going to have failures at first but you must learn from your mistakes and move forward. With persistence and determination alone you will succeed.

Most people I know believe that we should follow the outline of life that society has already fixed out for us and it goes something like this. 1. Birth 2. School (elementary, then high school, then college for most) 3. After school find a good job. 4. Find a good life parter. Get married. 5. Raise children and combine incomes to make ends meet. 6. After working like a work-horse for 20 or 30 years retire with a close to nothing pension and by that time have health problems that are either job related or just natural ones that come with age and enjoy inflation that makes your pension checks look even smaller. 7. Then try to enjoy life if your health and finances permits it. 8. Death.

I'm not trying to be dramatic, only truthful. I don't want to live that lifestyle and I know plenty of other people out there don't either.

This brings me back to my title; Why should you be wealthy?

- You should be Wealthy so you could have the freedom you deserve to do whatever it is you want. The way to achieve that is through Financial freedom. You should be wealthy if you want to travel around the world. You should be wealthy if you want to help the poor and truly make a difference. You should be wealthy if you want to accomplish your dreams and please set the bar high because those millionaires and billionaires we see on TV are real therefore we know it is possible. You should be wealthy if you want to give your family a secure financial future so that they can accomplish there dreams even when you are gone whether it's your parents or your children.

We only have one life to live and therefore we should live it to the fullest. We should learn the most we can, enjoy our families and friendships the most we can, travel, laugh, innovate, leave a legacy and live the most we can but not work hard labor the most we can! Lastly you should be wealthy because you deserve the best. You deserve to be wealthy.

Meaning of Love: An Elusive Enigma

"Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all." - Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem In Memoriam: 27, 1850 People, through the centuries, have wondered aloud, and otherwise, their thoughts on the four letter word that encapsulates a tempest in a tea-cup. They have boasted of theories and jumped to conclusions. They have dug up the roots of the human body and mind to come up with satisfactory answers. They have conducted experiments, organized discussions, pooled opinions, studied behavioral pie-charts and tried in every which way to describe the feeling of love. Yet the same people get boggled when confronted with the same predicament in their own lives. So what is love?

The definition of love is like a secluded island, deep in the heart of the sea. Anyone trying to reach can only come close but cannot touch land. Similarly you can only 'try' to define love; your definition may be correct to an extent but it can never hit the bull's eye. The reason is not your incompetence; it is just that the definition is in the perception of the person trying to define it and perceptions vary. So, instead of trying to do the impossible, lets just dwell on the flavor of love and forget the recipe behind it!

Love is a word that captures the essence of both the profound and the profane. Love songs and ballads seem melodious to the person who has not been in a man-woman relationship also. In fact, limiting the facets of love in the confines of the words 'I Love You' is shutting out its aura to a great extent. You cannot determine which form of love is purer: child-mother, man-woman, brother-sister, God-devotee.

You know you are in love when you feel the influence of another person is more imposing on your thought process than your own ideas and opinions. You start thinking in terms of the person you are in love with. You want to make yourself worthy of that person, placing that person on the higher pedestal always. You are always in doubt as to what you should do to make him or her happy and what you should not. You are willing to take the hurt and blame on yourself rather than let your loved one crease forehead in worry. You feel the whole world is against you and no one is your friend. You live in a world of your own where entry is restricted only to people who understand the value of that world.

"Who wants a cynic who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing?"- asked Oscar Wilde. The meaning of love cannot be explained to the cynics; if you have it in you, you grasp the meaning without a word being spoken. If you do not feel the warmth melting your heart, no one can drill it into the frigid interiors of your soul. Love is what makes two persons sit close to each other on a bench, when there's plenty of space on the sides. Love is when they walk off separate ways, without speaking a word all along, and still feel they have had the best conversation of their life. Love is also like the sand that slips through your fingers the more you try to grab it tighter. So express your love to your loved ones by free love greetings and love cards now. Tomorrow may not come with the same streak of luck!

IM Not A Failure! Failure Is Not An Option!

Have you ever for a moment after a set back, big or small thought that you are a failure, that you do not have a chance? Big fat failure, right? Time to give up, right?

I think at some time in our lives we all have thought this. I know I have many times on many different projects that I have attempted to get going or see to completion and they seem to falter or fizzle and die, going nowhere. Failure right? No way.

I am here to tell you that the only time that you become a failure is the time that you actually throw in the towel and give up. I do not mean give up on a project or mission. Sometimes taking stock of where a project is or may be going and having to re-adjust or scrap it and move on to another wisely. I am talking about completely giving in and closing the window on your dreams. This is very bad and is what has led to many thousands of people losing everything, being broken, homeless or even losing their lives. Failures right? Not a chance if they only get back up!

You become a failure only if you stay down, a failure, only if you do not jump back in the saddle!

You and I have to get back on the horse, so to say, and keep riding towards whatever that big dream is. It is what keeps us motivated and moving forward in life. Do not let the small things get you down. Keep focused on the big picture. Slice that big picture into bite sized pieces that you can accomplish on a daily basis. This one thing that I am suggesting can make all the difference, because it will help you see that your activities are actually making a difference.

When you do this one thing and actually take action you will see first hand your gradual or quick progress toward that dream being realized. It is exciting, watching your activities whatever they might be taking hold and producing results. Sometimes you feel like you are stuck in the waiting room, I know I have been there. Do not sit there long. Get up, get out, and make something happen. Take action. Make decisions quickly and change them slowly and thoughtfully.

For me failure is not an option. I will keep working towards my dreams and goals and never stop. Get started. Put down some goals and tasks. Break this all up into a daily, weekly, and monthly set.

At the beginning of the year, I lay out my goals for the next 12 months. I ask myself this question, "What do I need to achieve in January, February, etc. to keep myself on track?" Then, at the start of each month, I lay out my weekly objectives. Finally, every day, I create a very specific daily task list.

If we just keep ourselves on task and set future goals we reach those goals. This process also provides a positive future outlook, something in the near future to look forward to which gives us a purpose. I tend to get excited when I know I am moving toward the finish line. I sometimes feel like a little boy again who has been waiting for my birthday or Christmas.

Now take action, Do it now!

Improve Your Self Esteem With These Tips

Improving your self esteem is the best way to improve your life and earn the respect of others. Although this sounds like a tall order, it actually isn’t very difficult. Good guidance will enable this to happen. The following are ten tips that can happen when you improve your self esteem.

1. Stick with the positive and shun the negative. Surrounding yourself with positive and supportive people will generate a huge swell of positive feelings in you. This is a good way to increase respect for yourself. In turn, your self esteem will also grow.

2. Have clearly defined goals. Know what it is you want to achieve in life. Set goals for yourself and do what you can to work toward them. Sometimes it’s easier to have several smaller goals than one large one. When you accomplish the smaller goals it will help your self esteem to attain the large one later on. It will also make the task of reaching your main goal seem easier.

3. Stay positive. Remind yourself about the good qualities you possess and the accomplishments you made. Remember that you are important to others and have an impact on their lives. Think about how much you mean to others. Don’t concentrate on the negative, focus on the positive and never put yourself down.

4. Develop a thick skin. Learn how to take criticism without getting upset or defensive. Doing this will enhance your confidence. This criticism however should be constructive. Don’t get hung up by criticism that is cynical or demoralizing. You would be doing yourself a great disservice and causing irreparable damage to your self-esteem.

5. Accept failure. It is inevitable that we will face failure at some time or other. It’s important to acknowledge what happened and move on. Focusing on failure too much can be paralyzing. It needs to be an experience we can learn from and move forward.

6. Never compare yourself with others. Like the saying goes, when you compare you despair. It is the easiest way to feel inferior and lose self-esteem. Everyone is different and has different experiences and different strengths. It is better to rate yourself on your achievements. This will give you self-confidence.

7. Never put yourself down. As mentioned before, failures are experiences to learn from and move forward, but give them too much attention and they will eat away your self-confidence, self-respect and self-esteem. Keep positive thoughts in your mind if you want others to treat you with respect. People will respect when you project a positive exterior, even in the most adverse situations. Make it a small goal to filter out all self-criticism.

8. Stand up for yourself. Don’t give in to bullies in your place of work or in your personal life. This can only happen if you are assertive. This does not mean aggressive. It means you should exercise restraint and make your point in a dignified manner. If you respect yourself and stand up for yourself, others will learn to respect you as well.

9. Meet new people. If you’re self-conscious you may avoid talking to groups of people. If you attend any social or networking events, try to approach groups of people and introduce yourself to them. They’ll all be in the same boat with others they may not know. Be a good listener and respond to what they say. It shows interest on your part. Plus, interacting with people will make you feel more relaxed. Eventually you’ll be very good at meeting people and making new friends.

10. Take care of your body. Self-esteem is also dependent upon the felling of well-being. Someone who takes care of their body will be a more confident individual than someone who is lazy and poorly groomed. Remember, a healthy body is essential for a healthy mind.
