Twitter!

I've gotten a couple of comments over the last few days from our followers telling us we should get on Twitter. So that's what I'm working on today! I posted the link to our Twitter page on the left hand side of our site. Please bear with us as we figure out exactly what we're doing over there. Hopefully we'll be up and running shortly!

So sorry for our absence! I recently went back to school, and it has been CRAZY getting back into the swing of classes and homework and tests. We'll be back up and running by next week, I promise!

I want to apologize to all our loyal followers for the extreme lack of posting going on around here lately!! I have still been feeling pretty poor and haven't been doing much cooking at all. As in, the most cooking I've done is to cook a pre-made box of Kraft macaroni and cheese. I've been trying to get back to my normal routine as much as I can, so I do have a few recipes to share later in the week.

Thanks for staying with us, despite the major lull! Hopefully we'll be back up and running on a regular basis very soon!

Technical Difficulties

Greetings, Delicious Dishes Followers --

We are experiencing slight technical difficulties, hence the posting lull over the past few days. This lull is entirely due to the fact that I've somehow misplaced my brain and cannot find it anywhere. Yes, yes, it's that bad. Remember the line from Toy Story -- "Oh, it's gone, bye bye, woo, see ya!" That's me! I lost the battery charger to my new camera, so I'm out of commission until my new charger arrives within the next week. My husband just bought me this fantastic new camera for my birthday/Christmas present. I've had it all of 2 weeks, and I've already misplaced the charger. As he so lovingly put it this morning, I now have an $800 paper weight. ;)

Have no fear -- there will be a plethora of new recipes coming very soon! Thanks for your patience! (And if you see my brain, please expedite it back to me ASAP! K, thanks!)

Also, as some of you have noticed, we have the "Attending Dinner" section on the left hand side of our blog now. Only 4 of you have become "followers", and I know there are a lot more of you reading based on the stat counter statistics. So, if you're reading, let us know you're there! The readers are what makes this blog so much fun for us to do!

A Temporary Hiatus

As you may have noticed, our posts aren't regular these past few weeks. My laptop's power cord decided to die on me, so I'm basically offline until my new cord arrives - hopefully by the end of this week. April's experiencing a few technical difficulties as well. We'll hopefully be back up and running within the next week or so. Thanks for sticking with us!

In the mean time, why don't you talk to us? Tell us about your favorite cooking experience you've had. Did you attend a fun cooking class in school? Did you have a memorable childhood, cooking a lot with Mom or Grandma? Do you and your spouse cook often together, or did you have a fun date night where you made a delicious meal together?

I decided about a month and a half ago to separate my Domestic Diva blog into just cleaning tips and that sort of thing and to create a blog specifically for cooking. Cooking and cleaning are both huge passions of mine, so I wanted to have a blog for each. A natural reaction when I started this new blog was to ask my best friend, April, to join me, and luckily for me she was very enthusiastic about it. April and I are really excited about this blog and really hope you all will enjoy it as much as we do - and that we will all learn a bit along the way!

We have lots of cooking links over to the side for you to search through - I know I love to have as many cooking sites bookmarked as possible so I have lots of places to get lots of inspiration! :) If you have some great links of your own that you'd love to share with us, please do!
