Inspiration - Shelter Island Beach House

While we have been having a beautiful Indian Summer here in Wellington, it's hard to see all the Spring and Summer influences coming through in northern hemisphere magazines and blogs. I am definitely jealous!
Here's a Shelter Island beach house from House Beautiful that I saw via My Scandinavian Retreat and just had to check it out further. It looks just so damn comfortable and chilled out.

Beach Bungalow

It is a miserable wet summer day in Wellington. The trees at 292 were supposed to be cut down today but it is just not to be. The weather forecast is showers and rain all week long so the trees are on hold until next week.
So I'd be happy to be taken to this Beach Bungalow in Long Island while we wait out the rain...anyone?

Inspiration - 'Rockridge'

I recently spotted this holiday home in a fashion spread and had to learn more about it.

This is 'Rockridge' and it is located at Palm Beach, one hour north of Sydney. It is an original 1940's Palm Beach Villa done up for true relaxed beach living. Learn more about it here.
