India beat pakistan in 2nd semi finals

It was a thrilling contest between two old rivals and India just managed to get pass and keeping their unbeaten record against Pakistan in the world cup matches. 

The all important toss was won by Indian captain MS Dhoni and he selected batting first. India started very briskly scoring 48 runs in 5.5 overs in wh8ich Sehwag alone made 38 runs from 25 balls. Sachin made 85 runs and Raina contributed with useful 36 to take India to a respectable total of 260 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. For Pakistan Wahab Riaz was sensational , he picked up 5 wickets , the spinners gave him good support with bowling economically. The fielding of Pakistan players was hopeless as the missed total 6 catches in which 4 was for Sachin Tendulker.
In reply Pakistan started up steadily as they made 70 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in the first 15 overs, but their middle and lower middle order failed to keep required run rate under reach and they felt 29 runs short with getting all out on 231 runs. Hafeez made 43 runs ,Shafiq made 30 runs  and UAkmal made quick fire 29 . Although Misbah made 57 runs but he was guilty of wasting too many balls to score runs hence adding pressure to the batsman opposite end. For India all five bowlers Zaheer, Munaf, Nehra, Harbhajan and Yuvraj picked up 2 wickets each.
Sachin was declared man of the match for his useful 85 runs.
The occasion was built by presence of a huge crowd. The Prime minister of both countries Dr. Manmohan Singh and Usuf Raza Gillani were specially came to watch the match. The more political leaders Sonia Gadhi and rahul Gandhi were also there. Some bollywood celebrities Aamir khan, vivek oberoi, sunil shetty were lucky to watch the match from the stadium.
