In spite of facing several allegations from Google, Bing has introduced two new features in its search. These are a location specific search and a more personalized search. According to Bing, most of the time people make navigational queries on the search engines i.e. nearest place where something is available. With its new localized search, Bing is able to provide search results specific to your location without the user having to enter his location. For instance if we enter book store, then Bing will search for any book stores near our location. This will certainly be a large help in navigation or finding local places of interest. Another feature introduced by Bing is the personalized search. With this feature, Bing will maintain a history of what the users have searched before and their selected results. Using these previous results, it aims to offer the most relevant answer in future queries. For instance, if someone searches for something and he selects the fourth result, then next time he will be presented with the fourth result as the most relevant answer to his search query. It however remains to be seen if these new introductions help Bing in its uphill struggle against Google.
