Nokia X2-01: Affordable QWERTY Mobile Phone with Java Support

QWERTY handsets are making a strong impact on youngsters these days. However, we have seen most of the QWERTY devices from companies like Micromax, Spice, Zen and Fly. But now, even the likes of Nokia are making such handsets. Recently, Nokia has launched an entry level QWERTY phone Nokia X2-01 in India.

Nokia X2-01 Hardware Specifications

Nokia X2-01 is just a basic QWERTY device similar to Samsung Ch@t that we discussed earlier. It comes with a 2.4 inch display having a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The phone weighs 107.5 grams and has a dimension of 119 x 59.8 x 14.3 mm.

Regarding multimedia options, the phone supports nearly all major media files. But, it falls short in terms of camera. It comes with a paltry VGA camera.

For connectivity, the phone comes with GPRS, EDGE and Bluetooth. The device comes with an expandable memory option of up to 8GB and is currently available in five colour variants namely Red, DeepGrey, Silver, Lilac and Azure.

Nokia X2-01 certainly lacks a Symbian OS. Though, it has got Java support and comes with various preloaded apps. You can also download various games from online stores.

My Verdict

If you are looking for a QWERTY device and want to go by a bigger brand name rather than Micromax and Spice, then the device can be good option for you. As we all know, Nokia is always known for its sustainability and durability. But I feel that the specs could have been bit better at the given price. Do let us know your views about the handset?
