Still going strong: Kayla Collins and Mark Wright's new romance lasted the weekend


Five days into his new relationship, Mark Wright may have been hoping for a headache-free night on the town with new girlfriend Kayla Collins.

But where The Only Way Is Essex star goes, drama inevitably follows - and the love rat found himself at the same Priscilla, Queen of the Desert event as three of his previous conquests.

But rather than having an awkward encounter with exes Lauren Goodger, Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh, Mark and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here contestant Kayla fled the theatre before the performance ended.

Kayla, dressed in a see-through lace top with black jeans and a blazer, giggled as the pair jumped into a cab outside the Palace Theatre.

A source close to American Kayla told the Mail Online that the good-looking duo 'wanted some time to themselves' and are looking forward to spending some more time together.

Mark and Kayla - who share the same management - got together at Wright's bash on Saturday night, where they left together after toasting his 23rd birthday at his bar Deuces.

Playboy model Kayla, also 23, had only broken up with footballer Ashley Cole - whom she dated for five weeks - on Thursday night.

She is expected to stay in London for a month, but her plans to return to the States may depend on how her new flirtation with Mark evolves.

While his previous girlfriend of nine years Lauren, or glamour model Sam might have had something to say about the pairing, Mark needn't have worried about the wrath of recent love interest Lucy, who dumped him at the the end of the Christmas special.

The striking brunette bonded with Kayla at Saturday's party, and gushed about her new friend on Twitter after their meeting.

White was the colour of the night for the cast, with Lauren, Lucy, Lydia Bright and Mark's sister Jess Wright all sporting dresses in the shade.

Sam Faiers ensured she stood out from the crowd in an eye-catching candy pink wig and psychedelic-print French Connection dress.

While Lucy stuck close to the girls as they arrived in bright pink stretch Hummer for the party, Sam avoided any further heartache by taking gay friend and cast mate Harry Derbridge as her date.

Sam caused furore among The Only Ways Is Essex fans when she went home with serial flirt Mark at the end of the Christmas special episode.

But while audiences were kept guessing as to whether the pair would forge a relationship, Mark has answered that query by taking up with Kayla.

The new couple, who originally met at Kayla's Christmas party at Funky Buddha back in December, looked cosy as they partied at Essex club Faces until 3am on Saturday night.

The next morning, a worse for wear Kayla tweeted: 'I wish I could sleep all day & night!

'Waking up feeling like I was hit by a bus or something! AND to top it off I ate McDonalds last night.'

Eagled-eyed fans of glamour model Kayla may have spotted early signs of a flirtation when she wrote a birthday message to the reality star on Thursday which included a love heart sign.

That very night she and boyfriend Ashley Cole got into a huge argument after attending P Diddy's album playback party, and decided to call time on their romance.

A source told The Sun: 'Ashley and Kayla enjoyed their time together but knew a long-term future was unlikely.

Kayla went back to the States over Christmas and Ashley was looking forward to meeting up with her afterwards but that was it - nothing more.

'Both have heavy work commitments and Ashley has just come out of a high-profile relationship so it just wasn't the right time to start getting serious.'

Ashley is thought to have lusted after Kayla when she appeared in an assortment of tiny bikinis on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last year.

He then wooed her with flowers and fish and chip dinners before finally introducing her to his Chelsea team-mates at his 30th birthday bash last month, where she gave him a football made of cupcakes.

Speaking late last year about her relationship with Ashley, Kayla denied it was all for the cameras, insisting: 'This is for real.'

However, after making their public debut at P Diddy's party at London's Pigalle Club on Thursday, Ashley and Kayla opted to end things after an argument which saw Kayla leave the club in tears.

A source told MailOnline: 'Ashley and Kayla arrived shortly after each other, and headed straight for their reserved table where they sat some distance from each other.

'They didn't really interact with each other, Ashley seemed more interested in talking to his boys.'
