Intex mobiles recently introduced a dual SIM touchscreen handset known as IN-8810 V.SHOW. It is India`s first handset, which is equipped with a projector. So, the phone allows you to watch videos, pictures or presentations on large display. The phone comes with dual camera and dual and dual memory card slot of 8GB each.

At the announcement of the handset, the general manager of marketing at Intex Technologies, Vinayak Kumar Lal said,

The launch of V Show is one more attempt to consciously demonstrate that our mobiles can do more than just voice and message.

Intex IN8810- V.SHOW Hardware Configuration

IN-8810 V.SHOW is a 3.2 inch touchscreen handset. The basic emphasize of the phone is to provide you a theater- type feeling while watching movies. Therefore, it does not compromise with battery life and the video quality. More over the phone also comes with tripod stand, allowing you to place the phone there to view movies on large screen.

The phone is capable of projecting a 61 inch image with 10 lumens of brightness at QWVGA resolution. It can support a maximum distance of 12 feet and works well in the dark room. However, the projections made in lit room are not that clear.

The battery life such that, it allows you to watch a 3 hours movie, where video is getting rendered at 25FPS. The handset is equipped with multi- format Music Player, FM Radio, Bluetooth and GPRS connectivity.

As mentioned above, the phone has a dual memory card slot, with each slot supporting 8GB in addition to dual camera situated at front and back end.

The handset offers Java support and comes preloaded with Bolt mobile browser, Facebook and Twitter apps.

The price of Intex IN8810- V.SHOW is close to Rs. 12,000 and will soon be available across all Intex and multi brand mobile retail shops across India from the first week of December.

My Verdict

Intex V.SHOW is projector cum touchscreen phone. It`s first of its kind in India. So, if you are impressed, you may go for it. However, it`s priced Rs. 12,000 and is just a mere Java handset. These days, you can easily get Android on such a budget. Overall, the phone seems to be a decent bargain. What are your views on it? Do let us know.

Micromax Android Phone Andro A60 Tech Specs, Features and Price

Yesterday we reported about launch of Micromax Android Phone- Andro and now we have some more details released yesterday at Micromax Bloggers Meet Delhi. Micromax Andro A60 is 2.8 inch touchscreen Dual SIM phone powered by Google Android 2.1 Eclair.

The design and shape of Micromax Andro A60 is quite freaky but looks trendy, the 2.8″ screen boasts resolution of 320×240 pixels which is comparatively small but will be enough to please new user. Micromax Android Phone Andro A60 runs on 600MHz Processor and has Internal Memory of 150 MB although it can be extended upto 32GB using MicroSD card.

Camera is 3.2 Megapixel with Auto Focus and digital zoom capturing photos of resolution 2048 x 1536 Pixels. You can also record video but don t expect amazing quality. Andro A60 will also sport Accelerometer and gravity sensor for users to enjoy the light weight Android-platform based games.

Supports Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) and 3G ready and promises up to 7.2Mbps speeds via HSUPA and up to 5.76 speeds via HSDPA. In addition you get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity. Another noticeable feature at low price is GPS for navigation using Google Maps built in.

Micromax Andro A60 Software OS Games and Apps

Being an Android device, you have a choice of millions of apps from Android Market. Download any number of Games and Apps, install them in SD card if you run out of 150MB. For Social Network connectivity too, you have plenty of options in Android market to choose from. At the Micromax Bloggers meet, Delhi, there was also an announcement regarding their own Micromax App Store but no more details about it.

Micromax Andro A60 Problems

Battery consumption is a problem with every Android devices and I am sure even Andro A60 will have same issue being 1280 mAh Lithium-Ion battery that promises just 4 hours of talk time. Another turn off may be its screen resolution but you cannot expect much at a price of Rs. 8000. This will give a tough competition to Samsung Galaxy 5 in same range.

As said, price if Micromax Android Phone Andro A60 will not exceed Rs. 8000 and it will be available in 3 weeks from now in Indian market.
