How To Break The Procrastination Habit

You just can’t seem to break the procrastination habit. Failure to take the steps necessary to achieve your goal has started working on your mind. You start doubting your decisions and your ability. Before you know it you settle for something easy or convenient.

Does that sound familiar?

Consciously or unconsciously, each of us forges our own way in life and becomes great, good, average, fair, or poor at managing daily goals. Just thinking and never doing will not help you get you what you want or be the person you want to be. There is an old saying “Thought without action is as useless as action without thought”.

Behind every reality is the thought. Thinking about anything with sufficient intensity causes us to perform the necessary steps to do something about it. Take hunger for example, an empty stomach will get you thinking about food enough to make you take the necessary steps to get food or cook food.

The necessary steps to achieve other goals often don’t come as easy as the example above. The correct order of action is not always so simple. The path to success is not always clear. In order to break the procrastination habit we need a combination of confidence, motivation and action (all are controlled by what we are thinking).

Doubt, fear and a lifetime of unproductive thinking keeps us operating far below our capabilities. Thinking that creates a mental picture of success is hard to come across in everyday life. There just are not many influences that generate success driven thinking or to the power of those thoughts. It takes a source of positive mental phrases, a determined effort and repetition to achieve success.

You have the ability to break the procrastination habit but it will take some mental reprogramming.

Here is a tip to get that new thinking into action…

Confidence comes from taking successful steps toward your goal. When you take a step it will soon be clear if it was the right one. Then you can either move back and start in another direction or move forward to the next step. There is an old saying that I repeat to myself often “you can only steer a moving ship”. This is a great mental picture for keeping the right perspective to achieve your goals. After all, any worthwile destination requires proper energy and direction to reach success.

By using the picture of steering a moving ship and taking steps toward your desired goal you will gain experience and confidence. Over time your mind will replace and push out unproductive thinking patterns. Through repetition you will be teaching your brain to respond with effective, motivating thoughts and decisive action. With your new confidence, you will have the power overcome any bad habits and fearlessly achieve any goal in life.

This is a simple example of the success you can achieve with a single phrase. One that paints a picture of motion and direction to reach a desired goal. What we think can give us the power to break the procrastination habit or sit back an let life go by without direction and purpose.

You can break “brain barriers” in sports, motivation, self esteem, health, confidence and much more. You can literally reprogram yourself for a lifetime of success and achievement. Start Today Visit http://www.ThinkSwap.com
